How to connect an Epson or Star printer

IP address, port 9100, WebPRNT and station routing checks.

Steps

  1. Confirm the printer network. The printer must be on the same network as the ordering device.
  2. Enter the IP address in the printer settings. For Epson ePOS on Android or iOS apps, use port 9100.
  3. Send a test print from printer settings, not from a live order.
  4. Configure station routing — assign categories to kitchen and bar stations.

Common failure: IP address has changed because the printer was assigned a new address by DHCP. Reserve a static IP for kitchen printers.
