How to set delivery zones and fees

Configure zones by postcode or polygon, with fees and minimum order values per zone.

Steps

  1. Open delivery settings in the admin dashboard.
  2. Create a zone by postcode range or by drawing a polygon on the map.
  3. Set fee and minimum per zone.
  4. Test the boundary by placing a test order inside and outside the zone.

What to consider

  • Distance vs time. A 2-mile zone in a city is not the same as a 2-mile zone in a rural area.
  • Free delivery thresholds. A threshold at £25 can lift average order value without eroding margin on every order.
  • Zone overlap. Overlapping zones need a tie-break rule so the correct fee applies.
Operational note: Test the boundary, not just the centre. Delivery failures usually happen at zone edges.
